Downey discussed the Chicago Cubs including the club’s lack of success on the road, need to improve offense, and Ted Lilly as the ace of the staff. He also discussed briefly the Chicago White Sox including Ozzie Guillen’s extension and Jim Thome nearing his 500th home run. Corrigan discussed the Colorado Rockies competing for the National League Wild Card including this week’s series in Philadelphia. Kepner discussed the New York Yankees including the impact of rookies on the club’s success, Mike Mussina’s up and down season, Phillip Hughes rookie season, and the decision whether Alex Rodriguez stays in New York is up to him.
