Guest Summaries:
Bloom broke down the various division races as well as the wild cards and weighed each team's chance at victory. He also touched on the pitching added to the NL West has not panned out at all. Silverman discussed the problems in the Boston bullpen, the health of Wakefield and Manny, as well as what the Red Sox need to do down the stretch to be ready for the playoffs. Bowman discussed Wednesday's wild win in Atlanta and how it was the most improbably of victories. He also outlined what needs to go right for the Braves in order to contend for the division or wild card, but that it seemed like a long shot at this point. Baumbach discussed A-Rod hitting two HRs yesterday despite being hurt. He talked about the state of Yankees pitching as well as how the team overall needs to stay hot and not sink into one of their bad slumps from earlier in the season. Finally, he talked about how well the Mets rebounded after being swept by the Phillies and how Pedro's return has helped the team relax. Underwood talked about the surge of the Indians and how the offensive turnaround of Travis Hafner has helped the entire lineup. He also touched on the success of the starting pitching and bullpen. Harding discussed the slim hopes left for the Colorado Rockies and the state of their bullpen.
